Help search engines find and understand a page
Check crawl access, clear titles, useful links and the experience visitors get.
Before a page can compete in search, Google must be able to access it and understand what it offers.
STEP 01
Check access before polishing
An indexable page should return a successful HTTP response, allow Googlebot access and contain indexable content. A robots.txt block prevents crawling; it is not a reliable way to remove a URL from search. A noindex directive must be crawlable to be seen.
Your next step: Check the page’s response, robots rules and indexing directives. Submit a sitemap and inspect the URL in Search Console.
STEP 02
Describe the page honestly
Use a unique, descriptive title and a clear main heading. A useful meta description can help explain the page in search snippets, but Google may use other page text. Neither a specific title length nor a description guarantees the displayed snippet.
Your next step: Write a title that describes the actual offer and a short description that helps the right visitor choose it.
STEP 03
Connect pages and improve usability
Link related pages with descriptive anchor text and give images meaningful alt text when appropriate. Improve loading, responsiveness and visual stability. Good Core Web Vitals matter, but good scores alone do not guarantee high rankings.
Your next step: Add a relevant internal link and test the page on a phone. Use PageSpeed Insights for measured performance.
